This will be followed by an interview and reference checks (for the safety of our members, potential volunteers are asked to complete a background check). <br\/><br\/>\n\n<h5>What kind of training do volunteers receive? <\/h5>\nOnce you are accepted as a volunteer, you will attend an orientation session and receive training on the computer system that enables volunteers to sign up to perform services. The Village provides training in a number of areas with ongoing volunteer workshops. <br\/><br\/>\n\n<h5>Can volunteers choose which services to provide? <\/h5>\nAs a volunteer, you may specify what you want to do and when by selecting requests from the computer system. Volunteer your way and when it is convenient for you.
